I-Ris community app works together with the i-Ris video surveillance system. The purpose of the app is to send notifications when the system detects one or more pre-defined objects in a picture presented to it via a video surveillance system. Some examples of objects that could be detected include:

Person, car, truck, bicycle, Cell Phone, TV Monitor, etc

This enables communities such as neighbourhood watch and security estates to be notified of events captured by their video surveillance systems. The notification times and exclusions can be set via a very powerful rules engine. An example of which would be to only send a notofication if more than one person and no dogs are detected between 20:00 and 07:00.

The app user will receive a push notification. This notification is presented including a photo with the detected object outlined in a box and an object description.

Once the app is installed and a username and password is created. The join button is pressed on the top right corner, the token provided by the security company running the I-Ris backend software is entered and the app is activated.
